Project Overview
Mechwat Technologies designed, manufactured, supplied, installed and commissioned a 10 KLD decentralized biodigester sewage-treatment solution for Hindalco Industries Limited at its Aditya Aluminium facility in Lapanga, Sambalpur, Odisha. The systems serve designated sanitary facilities at the B15 and B75 locations of the Smelter Division.
The solution uses a combination of anaerobic digestion and aerobic bio-filtration, supported by passive natural ventilation and gravity-based hydraulic flow. It is engineered to operate without mechanical aeration or routine electrical power, helping reduce operating complexity and maintenance requirements.
Installation and commissioning were completed at B75 on 17 December 2025 and B15 on 24 December 2025. The project continues through its post-commissioning performance, technical-support and warranty phase.

Project Impact
